Song of Unity: From Japan to New Zealand

Aired: Jan. 28, 2021

In 2020, amidst the worldwide pandemic caused by COVID-19, a video message of support arrived from New Zealand to Atsugi City, its host town for the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics. As a token of gratitude, the people of Atsugi sent a video singing a song widely loved in New Zealand. This segment features how a relay song was made as the exchange of support gradually spread among other New Zealand host towns in Japan.
